October 7, 2017, at the Black and Veatch Campus in Overland Park, KS
To honor those members of our organization that have beaten breast cancer in recent years, please join the Heartland Paralegal Association for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to help support and fund breast cancer research. The gates open at 3 pm, and the opening ceremony begins at 4 pm. The HPA team will be doing the 1 mile fun run/walk at 5 pm followed by the luminary celebration and survivor's parade. Then at 7 pm there will be a concert by Funk Syndicate. There will be food trucks, vendors and an inflatable village for the kids. Family and friends are welcome to register (required to attend the event) and walk with us as well.
The cost for adults is $30 (to be paid when you register for the event to Susan G. Komen at komenkansascity.org), which will increase to $35 on September 16th. Kids under 18 are $20, $25 after September 16th.
All registration fees are to help fund breast cancer research. We strongly encourage everyone to solicit additional donations for the cause, but it's not required. Survivors please register as survivors as you will receive an additional special pink t-shirt for the event, with access to the Survivor's Pavilion.
