  • Ralph A. Monaco, II presents a unique and thought-provoking CLE on the sensitive balance between the powers of the United States to protect and preserve the country, and the fundamental rights of its citizens.  Ralph is a Kansas City attorney, and author of several non-fiction books including Scattered to the Four Winds:  General Order No. 11 and Martial Law in Jackson County, Missouri in 1863.  This presentation will examine the historical background of Order No. 11, and its relevance to our country’s continuing struggle to balance national security with individual rights

Buffet Dinner
Assorted flatbreads including reuben, BBQ chicken, margherita, and veggie, spinach and artichoke dip served with tortilla chips, house salad, and brownies/cookies.  Includes pop, water, coffee, and iced tea.

Membership meeting reservations are due by noon Friday, October 10, 2014.  HPA is responsible for full payment based on final registrant count submitted. Any registrant unable to attend must cancel no later than noon Friday, October 10, 2014.  If a reservation is not canceled by the deadline, full payment for the meeting is required.
